About The Bread Trust:

"The best of you are those who feed others." – Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

The BreadTrust was founded by Adool Rahim Sayed, a man deeply rooted in faith, compassion, and service to humanity.

Inspired by the teachings of Islam, he believes that no one should sleep hungry while others have the means to give. Growing up, he witnessed the harsh realities of poverty and felt a calling to serve those in need, not just with words, but with action.

He understood that a simple loaf of bread can ease suffering, restore dignity, and bring people closer to Allah (SWT) through acts of kindness and charity.

Our Mission & Vision:

At The BreadTrust, our mission is to combat hunger, restore dignity, and uplift communities by providing nutritious meals, fresh bread, and essential support to those in need. Inspired by the teachings of Islam, we believe that charity (sadaqah) is both a duty and a means to earn blessings from Allah (SWT). We are committed to ensuring that no one suffers from hunger, particularly vulnerable children, the elderly, and families living in poverty.

Our vision is a South Africa where hunger is no longer a barrier to success, where generosity and unity foster stronger communities, and where every person has access to the basic sustenance they need to thrive. Through sustainable food aid, community-driven initiatives, and faith-driven action, we aim to bring immediate relief and long-term empowerment. With every meal served, we are not just feeding bodies but sowing the seeds of mercy, compassion, and hope—creating a ripple effect of kindness that strengthens our nation, as taught by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
